It's time to put many issues such as these before the voters no matter the cost. I do not trust that many politicians on either side of the aisle at this point. Any compromise should have the voters consent. I did not vote for anyone to cut deals that involves screwing:
1. Social Security
2. Medicare
3. Medicaid
4. Voters Rights
5. USPS
6. Woman's Right To Choose
7. Not paying National Debt bills on time as this could influence thousands of employees taking place as we speak and will definitely mess with the world wide economy.
8. The border and immigrants = the USA needs immigrant workers to have successful customer service.
9. Public Education = such as in ALEC directing the defunding of public education

tell you what. when the US has secured it's election/voting process; same day results, signature verification(correctly) all records KEPT, and if they aren't the election is voided and anyone destroying/erasing said records IS charged, allow voting watchers to actually watch, etc.....
