I do not think that anyone has shown that Musk is smarter than Gates, or vice versa.
What view of Musk's is it that I disagree with?
I did not say that his buying Twitter was wrong, I said that if I were faced with this choice, I would not choose to buy Twitter.
Gates has helped people to prevent dying of a variety of diseases, and there was no possible direct financial benefit in his doing this.

Again, if YOU had $44 billion, would YOU have bough Twitter? If so, why?

According to the prospectuses of some mutual funds I own, I have some investments in MSFT, but none in TSLA.

The ticker MSFT is rather similar to the word "misfit".
M is the ticker for Macy's, MIFT sounds like "miffed", MT is Archelor Mittal, MC is MasterCard, and MF is, well, "****", so perhaps MSFT is the best choice.
no possible direct benefit....how about invested in the medicines?
If I had 200 billion and was concerned about freedom of speech, I might consider it.
It would not break me, and it did not break Musk.

I would think you disagree with him giving anti-woke/globalist/climate change people the right to express their opinions on twitter.
could be wrong on that, but it would really surprise me.
