I can't say I'm particularly enamoured with either side. Israel is in the position at the moment, where there isn't an acceptable response they can make to the events of the 7th - but equally, they can't do nothing either. The details are debatable, but there's no denying the nature of what took place; which did nothing but target civilians in the most brutal way imaginable. Due to the population density of Gaza, it's impossible for Israel to target Hamas and not get civilians as well. There is a distinct moral difference between those two attack strategies - but apparently the court of public opinion doesn't care about these issues, it just wants Israel strung-up for every misstep.Vegas » 18 Oct 2023, 4:35 pm » wrote: ↑ Why?

Is there anything Israel can do that would be acceptable to the Palestinians and their supporters, other than self-immolation? It doesn't appear so, so what is Israel to do with such aggression, other than to meet it equally?
