They’ve had ICBMs since I was in high school.
The Chinese don’t build massive numbers of wildly expensive nuclear weapons.
They’ve renounced first use, which is logical for them as a lesser nuclear power.
As the world’s premier nuclear power, the USA has NOT unconditionally renounced first use.
Let’s say China invades Taiwan.
We could, use a tactical nuke on their fleet.
But what we will never do, is target those Chinese nuclear silos. If we do, we can’t get every one, and no American President (not even a fool like Trump) is going to risk a nuclear destruction of even one large American city.
The danger is some damned fool like Trump miscalculates and the Chinese put a USA super carrier on the bottom of the ocean and there’s a nuclear exchange.
Which is why, not to elect anybody married to somebody that looks like Melania who starts banging porn stars, instead.
