What’s so puzzling about MAGA is none of it’s disciples seem to have any idea that Christians exist that have spent a lifetime reading, debating, and studying the gospels who take literally and to heart what Christ preached from the Mount of Olives.
For example, part of the Sermon on the Mount is this passage from Matthew 5:21-22 “
”You’re familiar with the command to the ancients, ‘Do not murder.’ I’m telling you that anyone who is so much as angry with a brother or sister is guilty of murder. Carelessly call a brother ‘idiot!’ and you just might find yourself hauled into court. Thoughtlessly yell ‘stupid!’ at a sister and you are on the brink of hellfire. The simple moral fact is that words kill.

21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Will Christ condemn the screaming swarms at Trump rallies that chant hateful slogans and spew out venom?
I think Christ would condemn me, because I was raised in church and I’ve known better since childhood.
Most of the MAGA cult is ignorance, not deliberate violation of what Christ preached.
Our Master also said to judge not, lest we be judged.
Most of the Trump supporters I know were raised up well, and there’s some kind of unseen poison in what they’ve gotten caught up with, they’d never have drank if they had deliberated beforehand.
