It has been said Rachel Carlson publishing “Silent Spring” led to more deaths from malaria than Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot and Hitler combined in their massacres.
But malaria victims are poor, and black.

Nearly every minute, a child under five dies of malaria. Many of these deaths are preventable and treatable. In 2021, there were 247 million malaria cases globally that led to 619,000 deaths in total. Of these deaths, 77 per cent were children under 5 years of age. This translates into a daily toll of over one thousand children under age 5.

It might be that DDT causes birds to have thinner egg shells.
But there is no doubt the banning of DDT has and will keep on killing millions of little black children in Africa.
