I can remember the one time it’s ever happened to me
I was 18, and on my Senior Trip to Texas in 1976 Texas allowed 3.2% beer sales to 18 year olds.
There was a bar, beside the hotel we stayed the first night in Texas, and I snuck over there, and had my first taste of Lone Star.
This older man, came over to me, and struck up a conversation. Then, he put his hand near my crotch.
I was not then, a fat old gray haired man. In 1976 I could haul a thousand bales of hay a day with my hay crew, and drive posts all day building fence, and my hair was brown and wavy.
I hit that man in the jaw, without even thinking, as hard as I could, so hard it might have knocked me out today if not killed me.
And he just stood there. He was not in the slightest hurt. I was afraid I’d die in that Texas bar, and how would my mother and girlfriend take the news?
And when I looked around for an exit, I could tell I was the only guy in that bar that liked girls.
Then he saw my shirt that read

And he asked, what are you doing in here?
And I said I’m on my Senior Trip from Missouri and wanted a Lone Star beer, and I’ll leave if you’ll let me
His gay buddies started to kid him and give him unmerciful ****, and he smiled and said you’d best find another bar, boy.
The Texas sun never shone on anybody more grateful to see it.
