I wouldn't care if you drank a beer with me or not. Just to let you know, I drink about 2 beers a week on the weekend. I might go months without drinking any alcohol.
Adjusted for inflation beer is a lot cheaper than when I was a kid, and a lot of that has to do with light beers, which did not exist back then.
I will not throw stones at a man who likes his suds. When I went to college I met people whose parents kept beer in the fridge and they’d offer me one.
I’m not only older than light beer, I’m older than 30 packs.
In the seventies you had to go inside a licensed package store to buy beer, to go.
Busch was cheapest, at $1.50 per six pack. Add 25 cents for Bud and 15 cents more for Michelob.
Papst, Miller, Hamms, Schlitz, Falstaff, Olympia, Old Milwaukee, and any other brands about $1.75 a six pack.
$1.75 fifty years ago is about $12 today.
But it was all real beer, not some product the big brewers cooked up to see how watery they could make $15 a 30 pack beer.
