She is the daughter of a Japanese mother and American father.
As my mother lay dying in the nursing home she lived from July 2009 until October 2010 and couldn’t go anywhere tethered to her oxygen, or so we thought.
The nursing home staff called me and my mother had talked some old man into an escape attempt and it was only thwarted by the old man’s last girlfriend before Mama snitching them out.
Mama said to me, I was only kidding, and I replied that old man was serious enough to steal a bunch of food from the supply cabinet:
Mama said I told the old fool not to do that.
I just could never stay mad at her, long.
I wheeled her outside with my guitar, and my friend Davi d showed up, and Mama started requesting songs.
David had a beautiful baritone voice and she requested Lonely River Rhine and I can hit all the high harmony if there’s a baritone singing lead.

David was just tickled to death to sing lead and all those old people clapped and cheered.
David asked my Mama would you like to hear Geisha Girl now?
She said that song glamorizes Japanese whores, but it does have a very catchy tune.

After we went inside I asked Mama, why she always promised me if I took home a Japanese girl she’d drown her like a rat, but never warned me about black girls or Mexican girls.
Mama said those sloped eyed Japanese girls are too pretty for their own good. Japs are all sneaky. They bombed Pearl Harbor and tortured all those boys on the Bataan Death March.
