In 1977 my mother and I took a long trip and visited New Orleans.
I doubt Bourbon Street has changed much.
It was a series of dive bars with full blown prostitutes and old gay men with make up on trolling for younger men. A regular Sodom and Gomorrah.
To my surprise my very religious strait laced school teacher mother seemed thrilled at all the perversions we’d only read about.
Don’t take small children to Bourbon Street. It’s not for them.
And anyone expecting a decent family show at a Gay Pride Parade in Seattle,,,,,
Should go to Disney World instead.
