All five members of the New Mexico Supreme Court are Democrats and four were appointed by this Governor.

The Governor has issued an emergency state health order.
That court must balance the emergency against the right to be armed.
If let’s say a hurricane hit Albuquerque like Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, they might uphold a 30 day suspension, and no doubt they’d close all liquor stores and beer joints, too.
I’ll bet those five hope they don’t need to hear the case.
There is an old school Reagan Republican that’s the chief judge of the Albuquerque Federal District Court.
