Kamala Devi Harris[a] (/ˈkɑːmələ ˈdeɪvi/ i KAH-mə-lə DAY-vee;[2][3] born October 20, 1964) is an American politician and attorney who is the 49th and current vice president of the United States. She is the first female vice president and the highest-ranking female official in U.S. history, as well as the first African-American and first Asian-American vice president.[4][5] A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as the attorney general (AG) of California from 2011 to 2017 and as a U.S. senator representing California from 2017 to 2021.

Carville told The Hill that the perception of a large GOP farm team and a small Democratic bench was not the reality that he sees as he envisions a 2028 Democratic primary.
"The greatest myth in American politics is — I hear this all the time — well James, we don't have any bench. Are you **** me?" he said. "We got a bench that's 100. The whole sideline is our bench."
