JC played guitar with Speedy Hallworth at the last Flemington Fox Hunt and I guarantee you Governor Mike Parsons would have been there as a young man.
There was no mayor of Flemington in 1969 but Sheriff Verle Kennedy would have never allowed anybody to have a pistol around all those women and children and old Fox hunters, except for him and his deputies.
Decent people never even thought about taking pistols to a public event in 1969, it wasn’t dreamed of. The pistols stayed at home.
Somebody gunned down an 11 year old boy leaving an Isotopes versus the Aces ball game in Albuquerque and his aunt that drove him. And nobody seemed to care, that packing pistols in pubic was legal in Albuquerque, until now.
I was eleven when I watched JC tear up Waltz of the Angels at the Flemington Fox Hunt while my parents waltzed around the old gymnasium floor.

The New Mexico legislature needs to bring back the old time gun laws.
Back when decent people weren’t ready to shoot somebody at a dance.
