You missed the point...a gasoline car sitting idle is using absolutely no energy. By comparison, a re-charging EV is using energy.
Don't know where you live, but around here you will pay the same rate per KwH unless you want to specify using only wind generated power...then you pay 3/4 of a cent MORE.

98% of electrics will charge up at home.
The way wind farms work is there are wind zones.
Farmers love to get a thousand a month rent and still keep on farming.
I suppose there is some theoretical limit to how much two cents an hour (and the price keeps falling) wind energy utility companies are going to add to fuel electrics.
But conservative media is telling you fairy tale scary stories about electrics.
