Don't know where you live, but around here you will pay the same rate per KwH unless you want to specify using only wind generated power...then you pay 3/4 of a cent MORE.
The current rate is ten cents a kilowatt plus a peak load surcharge.
Missouri also is part of the best wind zones in the USA.
Forget about the global warmers and saving the planet.
To build a new one megawatt capacity wind is stupidly cheaper even than Nat gas plants.
There’s hardly any regulatory cost. Farmers will suck your dick and stand in line for leases.
Now there will always be a need for fueled base line power generation from nuclear, gas, and until the last one wears out, coal.
But each night there is hardly any calculation of how much wind energy just goes to waste now from existing wind farms.
