When my grandmother died in May 1960 my father added running water to his home place and rented it for $30 a month.
I could sell that house tomorrow for over fifty times what it cost to build.
But I’d lose five hundred dollars a month rent.
We are living in a golden age.
If I didn’t provide good air conditioners my tenant would leave and then I’d double the rent after I bought a thousand dollars worth of air conditioners.
I didn’t know what air conditioning was until I went to college in 1976.
If you are poor today you are too old or too sick to work.
