My mother looked at him and said I thought I was your teacher, but that is impossible.
No student of mine would believe that lie for a second.
And then and there Mama declared she was a Democrat, and voted absentee for Obama and Biden.
Truth matters.
As Mama said John McCain was an old man and she didn’t want Sarah Pallin a heartbeat away from the nuclear codes.
I’ve wondered since if the Republican Party might not have slipped down the slope to Trump, if John McCain would have picked honorable Mitt Romney instead of Sarah Pallin.
But the Republican Party as we knew it died, on August 29, 2008. It won’t ever come back.
