The, technology, logistical planning & infrastructure regarding the EV Charging Stations has been an utter failure..... I think our Energy Secretary's recent EV Road Trip disaster perfectly illustrated as much...
The bodies of electric cars and running gear is about like Detroit has made for a century. They are very good at making car bodies, wheels, and suspensions.
But electrics use a simple electric motor that uses the center shaft as an axle, just like railroad locomotives have since the 1940s.
No gas engines and no transmissions is a staggering labor saver.
Tesla motors today last a million miles. The body will rust away first.
Lithium batteries are ten times cheaper than ten years ago and the trend is still cheaper.
And a slow electric has 400 horsepower and 2,500 ft lbs of torque.
That last part means once you go electric you’ll not want a slow gas car ever again.
