There is only 1 way to look at PM's here, and that is direct access to the database. No mod can do that except me, and I let the board die for an entire month. I go on hiatus for years at a time, leaving this place in the good hands of the mod team. I couldn't care less what people say in private. This is their community.
This forum runs open-source software, viewing member PM's will never be a feature, and any discussion of the sort is discouraged by the community responsible for maintaining the software.
You run corporate software, beholden to the dollar and the dollar only, where skeevy behavior like reading private messages will always come standard.
