Republicans turned down a deal that would of significantly slowed the illegal border crossings.
So the Republicans are responsible for the border crossings because they don't actually want to stop the problem. The want to electioneer off the border problem they actually don't want to fix under Biden.
They see it as a election winning topic so no fixing it.
