I occasionally look at a shopper’s grocery cart. It starts off well for the colored shopper because they start with produce—watermelon, collards, and mustard greens. They then get chicken. These items have a good unit price.
But then it goes downhill later when they load their carts with grape soda and Colt 45. Obviously not a good value all the way around. Just when you think it can’t get worse at the checkout—LeMongelo stop at the lottery machine and load up.
