BTW...when you typed..."diversity, equity, and inclusion is much different than anti-racism"....I had to read that twice just to be sure I read it right the first time.
No explanation is necessary  don't want or need for you to elaborate on that one.

Yes, although it is primarily internet-centered and, thus, strictly rhetorical,  a lot of Chinese people exhibit racist and xenophobic attitudes. However, the only physical manifestation of bigotry that I am aware of is, for example, the occasional restaurateur who employs signage designed to prohibit the entry of black patrons. But, most often, local authorities swiftly deal with those incidents. And never have I known of violence to have been involved.

Sumela's comment within a subsequent post is well-taken. He wrote, " "It's amazing that so many Americans live and prosper there. Never yet seen a whitey hanging from a rope."

Anecdotally, I know of no cases in which a Chinese citizen has employed violence or physical harassment against a foreign national. In toto, I have spent several years working and vacationing in China but have yet to witness or hear of foreigners being physically assaulted, harassed, or in any way intimidated. I am fluent in Mandarin and somewhat less fluent in Yue, and I have experienced Chinese people referring to me as "round eye" in my presence. But it's never bothered me because it is a manifestation of interpersonal racism rather than institutionalized or systemic racism. As such, those people don't enjoy any discriminatory power over me. So, it is all relatively meaningless.

Significantly, as an employee/teacher, I was never discriminated against in any way whatsoever. I was always treated fairly and with the utmost respect. However, I do understand that the experiences of racialized foreign nationals working in China can be different.
