It seems you're getting half the story from your source. They're announcing a victory that isn't.

It's not that your source is outright lying. Oman DOES disagree with Iran on how the fees for passage should be structured, and Oman DID invite traffic to hug its shore and thereby avoid the few kilometers of joint jurisdiction the two countries share in the middle of the strait. But your source's pretense that this is a long term solution is partisan and dishonest.
