You presume that there is an energy beyond that which is inherent in the atoms which make up our cells, organs and self. But, that energy cannot be measured or defined.  Some say it can be observed, i.e. that the sole is energy separate and apart from our atomic and chemical existence.  Liberal @Xavier_Onassis  would completely disagree with you. He would tell you that if it cannot be observed, measured and quantified, it does not exist.

To some extent, I would agree with Xavier.  There is complete conservation of energy going from life to death, without accounting for the soul.  The energy you discuss is immeasurable and not directly observable, and therefore, Xavier would say does not exist.

On the other hand, I have listened to a number of accounts of NDE's.  I tend to find many of them believable. I find none of them provable or measurable by any means, however.  And, I remain skeptical of the "conservation of energy" argument associated with souls.
The soul is separate and apart from the physical body.
It is pure energy.
No, it cannot be measured and observed. There is no arguing that point.
Some do believe it doesn't exist.
But, I know better.
I know it exists. I can feel mine.
I can see people's auric bodies.
I can see people's energy emanating from their bodies.
Can I prove it? No.
Can I prove that right at this very moment there is a spirit energy right behind my left shoulder? No, I cannot. But I know it's there. I feel it.
But, I am not the only one.
If you believe in Jesus, you are already on your way.
He is probably the most famous ascended master.
