The shooter was beaten with his own gun after Richard Fierro disarmed him, so to describe Fierro as 'armed' is completely dishonest.

Yes, Fierro was armed.
Are you denying a gun was used to stop this event?
What stopped the shooting was Fierro pulling the gunman down to the ground.
See my last post where his own words are quoted.
"I ran across the room ... pulled him down," Fierro said.
After the suspect was on the ground, another man, apparently James, helped Fierro subdue him and pushed a rifle out of the suspect's reach.
That's when Fierro noticed the suspect also had a pistol, which Fierro said he took and used to hit the gunman.
The gunman was already down when Fierro took his pistol and used it to beat him.
So the gun was NOT used to STOP this incident.
What stopped it was Fierro grabbing the gunman, throwing him to the ground and jumping on him.
Now quit it with the semantics.
