But you are conflating men pretending to be women with the intent of doing that to trans women who were born with male parts but truly identify as women and are of no danger to anyone.
Why should they be discriminated against and vilified because some people are committing crimes?

I was not defending MEN.
I was defending trans WOMEN.
The problem is that you don't believe that people have the right to live in the gender that was not assigned to them at birth.
I do.
Not all of them choose to have the painful and expensive surgery that will change their body parts to match their brain.
It is much more likely that a trans woman would be assaulted using a men's bathroom than a child would be assaulted by a cis man pretending to be a woman in a lady's bathroom.
I would bet that the incidents of trans women being beaten or killed is much higher than the number of children assaulted in bathrooms or showers by cis men pretending to be women.
And a lot of that has to do with the ignorance on the subject by people like you and your compatriots on this forum.
