In that same link, Senator Tom Cruz, specifically praised Obama's handling of the military, stating that he was far better on using our forces wisely than was Bush, who Cruz said, "misused and overused our forces, leaving a broken military for President Obama to repair."

Cruz went on to say, "Obama has managed to put the military back into fighting shape, and has significantly improved morale across all branches of the military by dropping Bush's policy of lying to soldiers about deployment lengths and terms of service."
