Clem- what kind of economy would result in such massive deficits?Can't seem to remember what you call it...It was effectively deficit spending that caused the collapse of the Soviet Union, although it "appeared" different because instead of printing money, they simply didn't make enough consumer goods.Liberals at the time glowed over how strong the Soviet economy was and bleated in outrage when Reagan predicted its collapse.Stupid moonbats.Call it Command and Control, Socialism, Communism, there are many variants and they all fail totally or almost so.
