That's all true, but all of the Congress has been shown - directly by the American people - what they want in leadership. And what they DON'T want. I can imagine it's very intimidating to see a lot of careers ruined by people who did cross the liberal MSM at some point and were later attacked and ruined, while truly corrupt criminal Democrats like Bill Clinton were given a free pass.
