Many of Kerry's friends in the late 60's accused him of trying to do what exactly he did...
He lasted 5 months in Vietnam and got numerous Purple Hearts..
....And even friends of his claim they were exagerated....
He also claimed to have witnessed alleged War Crimes in Nam, and paraded his supposed witnesses before congress to substantiate his accusations in the infamous Winter Soldiers performance... The problem was none of witnesses had ever served in combat units --- some had never been stationed out of the United States -- and there were a couple who had not ever been in the Military..
