Agreed, this is something I have long advocated for... I cannot fathom how an unsecured gun is left loose in a household with children... My Dad got me and my brothers into shooting and responsible Gun handling at a very young age.. I received my first Gun at age 12... My Dad also had an FFL (Federal Firearms License) so he could purchase larger quantities of Guns & Ammo... All of the gear was secured in a walk-in Gun locker he constructed, with only himself having the Key.. As we got older, we had them on Gun Racks mounted in our bedrooms --- but never loaded.. The Ammo remained under lock & key.
