The fans & players who showed up for that celebration had what should have been a happy & memorable occasion stolen from them by a few worthless street thugs..... That day will forever be known & remembered for the mass shooting of innocent attendees instead of any Chiefs victory party...jerrab » 15 Feb 2024, 1:21 pm » wrote: ↑ the chiefs parade was a big deal in kc. the biggest. two superbowls in a row plus patrick mahomes was there, a big deal in itself. any on air personality would be taking notes. she had a program where she would have described the events.
before that happened it was terrific. the weather was perfect and the chiefs walked around greeting fans and signing autigraphs, mahomes too. that would have been her story of the day plus the speeches of the players and the mayor. it was not quite over, winding down and the reporters were still on the air and all of a sudden the gun shots happened and the reporters switched to reporting about that. they were in shock as everyone else. the news stations started covering the parade 2 hours before it began and it was just about over when the gunshots started.
two of her children were also injured, probably from the crowd.
