True, lot of mentally ill people, especially young people have gotten access to guns they shouldn't have --- with catastrophic consequences...
This is a recent landmark case where for the first time the parent, in this case the Mother of a minor Ethan Grumbley with mental health issues took a gun from the home and murdered several of his classmates has been found guilty of Manslaughter.... This is something myself and many other gun owners have advocated for years.. He'd demonstrated signs of mental illness, and in fact reached out to his mother for help --- but she was disinterested, as carrying on the affair she was having was more important.. Ethan also was able to access the Guns from an unlocked safe... His father goes on trial next.
