Wars are not all fought the same.... Along with your enemy's capabilities, a huge factor in determining the tactics used is the terrain ----- and in the case between that of Gaza and Afghanistan, it could not be more different... The fighting in Afghanistan was far more rural, over an enormous sparsely populated area including mountain ranges.... Here is a question that nobody will answer. After 9/11, we went into kill the Taliban. They also hid behind civilians and used women and children as shields. No different. We sent in our marines to surgically remove the Taliban. We kicked in doors to kill the them, we didn't just level the whole **** village. Why can't Israel do that? We give them enough money and military backing, so they have the resources.
Gaza is essentially one massive densely populated city squeezed onto a tiny plot.... 15,600 people per square mile live in Gaza....
