The United States did not arm Israel in 1948 when it defeated 5 of their Arab neighbours who attacked them... Those weapons were mostly acquired through Czechoslovakia, with some coming from Italy & Yugoslavia.. The Jews were also making some of their own weaponry by then, and private fund raising by Jews in America and other countries helped in the procurement of Arms....
We did not begin indirectly help Arm the Israeli Forces until 1962
