The fact is that there is some truth about it being an "open air prison". But again, why don't their Arab neighbors help them?

Israel supplies Gaza with electricity, food and water, because Hamas will not. Hell, Hamas actually dug up water pipes to use them as launch tubes for their attacks on Israel.
Imagine being that dependent upon someone you consider an existential threat to your lives?
