The "push to label ivermectin" one way or the other wasn't the work of the media alone. As for that 2015 Nobel Prize you speak of, it couldn't have been for the drug's effectiveness against Covid 19, because Covid 19 (named for the year 2019 in which it is believed to have first appeared) wasn't around in 2015.
Most of the blowback I'VE read of re ivermectin is that people are willing to risk taking an UNPROVEN drug, mostly available in dosages designed for livestock, over opting for a vaccine with FEW knows side effects, and a proven track record of keeping MOST people out of the ICU.
My feelings on the subject? Take whatever you want or nothing at all. But don't place the health of others at risk for your "freedom" to endanger the health and lives of others.
