My wife and I made our third trip to England, our first in nine years, and I have some observations. In London I've seen no homeless camps with people shooting up right out in the open or **** on the sidewalk. I've seen no bands of black teenagers running in and cleaning out department stores, jewelry stores, or any other kind of business. I've seen no reports of people being attacked just for being white. You never hear the words "white supremacy". We rode on the Tube (subway) and felt totally safe, even late at night. We heard no people demanding reparations. I've seem no drag queens performing in front of children. There's very little talk about transphobia.

What I did notice was that the Brits are friendly and courteous. People hold doors for you and say thank you sincerely when you do the same for them. The waiters seem to enjoy their jobs and there is no tipping. The public transportation is clean and modern. Most people are fit and not obese like many of our citizens in the USA. And they don't dress like slobs. And when you get away from London most of the people are hardworking farmers or tradesmen.

Yes I know they have their problems. They have immigration problems (not as bad as we do), and London has many Middle Easterners and Indians. Most of the Brits are flaming liberals who hate Donald Trump. Their economy isn't doing well either.

Bottom line is that I wish the USA was more like The UK. Not politically but socially. When I look at some of the **** happening in our country it **** pisses me off. I'm not as proud to be an American as I used to be. Things need to turn around. And soon.
