Y'all have the wrong frame of mind.
My cellphone is for MY convenience, not yours. I can turn off the ringer and I can send you to voicemail. MY convenience, not yours. Keep saying it over and over until you get it.
Plus, saying, "When some asshole is sitting right in front of me on their phone pretending I don't exist, that's a sign I shouldn't spend any more time with that asshole" and then leaving has always worked for me. The key is not spending any more of your limited life's time with said asshole.
