Reagan's supply side economics has made a disaster of this country. Give rich people and corporations tax breaks he said and they will use the money to build more factories and put people to work and we'll all be prosperous and happy. But guess what? The rich people and corporations took the money and built factories in Asia. Or took stock buy backs and bought another private plane just for fun. In the meantime the working people and the middle class are paying the taxes that support this country. And Trump is peddling just one more hot idea. Impose tariffs on China he says and manufacturing will come back to the US. But it won't for a number of reasons. Walmart isn't going to pay what it takes for products manufactured here. Our workers don't work for $2.50 an hour. And the tariffs are going to land right on top of us as consumers because guess who has to pay for them. OK that's enough. That's my rant for the day.
