It sucked when Ford went form the Thunderbird to the Taurus body in NASCAR Cup racing.  Ugly little car.

The 92-94 body style was great for the time...in British racing green.

 

They are both 4 door sedans.  The 98 body was a little more rounded, probably because of aero requirements but both are ugly little cars.

Nascar teams also used 358-cubic-inch (5.8L) naturally aspirated V8 racing engine that produced 750-800 horsepowers at around 9000 RPMs.

And was an ugly car.
