Good for you.
When your lease expires and they tear those down the new ones will be cheaper and better.
If those were new build wind turbines they’d be almost half the cost as your decade old ones.
I thank my parents in heaven every night before I sleep they sent me to a good hillbilly public school.
About fifty years ago in class they had a model of a wind turbine that looked about like the ones we’ve seen since and said today these cost 5 million and need twenty cents a kilowatt hour to pay off.
Today they need less than two cents a kilowatt to pay off. The cost of new ones fall so fast it’s hard to quote it.
There is still another 40 years on the extended lease for the wind project and more than likely the federal taxpayers paid a dear price for the start up. If government is throwing money around, you may as well get in the way.
This is the developer, big boys:

We are under a feasibility contract for 140 acre solar farm, who knows how that turns out. The transmission lines are already there and plenty of farmers not ready to diversify.
After a hundred years of farming, the blood line is getting thin to continue on. Diversifying keeps that dirt paying.
