So when are
REPUBLICANS going to repeal this **** POS???!!
You know what they say about entitlements, once given they are hard to take back. Schumer thought it was worth shutting the government down over.
Obamacare worked out great for us with the expansion of HSA's.
Key insights on HSA growth since the ACA:Total Assets: The total amount of money in HSAs reached $155 billion by early 2025.Growth Drivers: The rise in high-deductible health plans (HDHPs), often linked to the ACA, has driven more individuals to contribute to HSAs.Account Growth: The number of HSAs has expanded dramatically, with 40 million accounts recorded by early 2025.
$155 billion in tax free money makes for a nice cash shelter.
The money the company put into the HSA and the tax shelter for maxing out the HSA (would have been taxed at 25% back then) actually ended up giving us a negative premium for the year.
Guess I should thank the Democrats, today that HSA balance is over $90k.
Couple of more months and I'll be on Medicare with a supplement plan. I'm avoiding the advantage plans.
