The flippity flop has been debunked repeatedly. It took a full 30 years before legislature's in the South were all controlled by Republicans.

I did ask my Mom, 86. She was a life long Democrat until recently with all the crazy **** the party has been pushing.
Yup, she is conservative as can be and the current Democrat Party does not reflect that.
