Came across this:
case in point is Melat Kiros, who defeated fifteen-term incumbent Diana DeGette in Denver District 1. DeGette is no moderate, but a member of the far-left wing of the Democratic Party. Kiros is a 29-year-old graduate student and will become the U.S. representative in that district because the same fools who voted for her in the primary will support her in the general.
In a recent television interview, she was asked about businesses leaving Colorado, in particular, tech giant Palantir. Basically she said good riddance. Why? Because she considers them “warmongers”. Well then, how about companies like Lockheed and their 40,000 Colorado employees? Same answer. Why? Because, “I want a world without war.” That sounds more like the vapid response of a beauty contestant than of a serious public official. There are several other DSA-affiliated candidates elsewhere in the Colorado ballot in November.
It is essential that sensible voters participate in November’s general election in order to aid the solid candidates lower down on the ballot. If sane voters want sane public officials, they will have to vote for sane candidates. Remember, a socialist is someone too stupid to know he is a communist!
