My wife's parents just up and quit taking care of themselves when they turned 70. That was 15 years ago. We did the best we could to maintain their household but it finally broke us. All our free time and efforts went to dealing with their needs. Assisted living, long term memory care, Medicaid and the 5 year look back, it's been a journey.
