They are a nice distraction from the chaos. Golden's can be quiet destructive. We added up $3k in damages from one past Golden. The Boys taking a nap. Just about any dog can be a good addition to the family, it's not the dog, it's the crappy owners who don't put in the effort to properly train.
One little glitch to that perfect life scenario, evolving ancestrally here doesn't exceed the time life evolved so far in series parallel behavior of the current 5 generation gaps occupying space here now.
Point being goldies are great, my wife and I have one, but life includes all things present in series parallel evolving so discussing the dogs doesn't change the chaos this species is doing to itself 24/7 while this topic distracts from the rest simultaneously taking place never being corrected on purpose.
