That's where the left-wing fake news media is mostly to blame.
My taxes went up by over $10,000 after the Trump tax cuts, but I still support him because it put more pressure on mostly blue states to take responsibility for THEIR wild tax and spending policies, even though it cost me a lot.
But liberals can't stomach fairness when it's done by Republicans even when it benefits them.
So they need to lie about it in even when it costs their own constituents harm.
Because the most important thing to Democrat politicians is NOT how good the country did under Trump, it's what they have to do to keep their sheeple within the flock!
The households not making the higher incomes really don't understand cause they aren't paying the tax bill.
"Only 15.5% of Americans earn between $100,000 and $149,999 per year. Although, this does make up the largest percentage of Americans who do make over $100k, which only 8.3% earning between $150,000-$199,999, and 10.3% earning over $200k. 45% of Americans earning over $100k live paycheck-to-paycheck.Jan 18, 2023"
Even these higher income groups got caught off guard and didn't make sufficient changes to offset the SALT cap. I was paying attention and immediately started maxing out our 401k's and HSA prior to the cap being implemented. It worked.
In the long run, those policies put us in a much better place financially. I'm almost embarrassed to say our HSA balance is higher than the median 401k balance for all age brackets. We started contributing as soon as Obamacare was put in place.
At least according to this article, the numbers vary quite a bit.
