Just saying. If Ebonics is bad then you surely must find southern whites that can’t speak English properly just as abhorrent. 
 

Well, I would point out  few distinctions:

1. If I "put on" or you "put on" redneck patois or cajun patois, no one will call either of us a racist;
2. If I "put on" or you "put on" redneck patois or cajun patois, no one will accuse either of "cultural appropriation";
3. If I "put on" or you "put on" redneck patois or cajun patois, no one will physically assault either of us for it;
5. If I suggest or you suggest that redneck patois is a legitimate language, no one will be too terrified of false racism charges to laugh in our faces. 

That's 5 - number 4 is elliptical. I left it out because the board isn't ready. I pm'd it to omh - the only one prepared for it.
