Oh, ****! Carbon dioxide may be good for plants, but more of it in the atmosphere causes heat to be retained, and hence you get "global warming". Companies (not 'we', corporations) offshored the creation of plastics and athletic shoes in order to avoid OSHA regulations. Were plastics and track shoes "national security"? Corporations also bought computer chips abroad because they were slightly cheaper there and now our country does not manufacture the needed number in the needed quantities.
You cannot blame the Democrats or the government for that.
You cannot blame the people for buying imported goods.
You can only blame the unregulated capitalist system.
Note that Trump wanted to lift even MORE regulations. And what we need is more at least in some areas.
Republicans invite lobbyists to write their own regulations. Trump invited Perdue, Tysom and the other meat processors to write Covid regulations and about 18,000 people died. This would have been LESS had better regulations and strategic plant closings had occurred.
